Letter from the President:
Thank you for your interest in the IOBM. We now count among our ranks chaplains in the United States Military, Ministers that help the incarcerated build mindful wisdom, teach meditation, attend and organize multicultural and inter-religious events, manage charities, and help the needy all over the world.
Buddhist Ministers are an old breed technically beginning centuries ago they, helped Monks and Nuns achieve their goals. Now our Ministers help Monks, Nuns, temples and centers promote and bridge the gap between cultural Buddhism and Buddhist teachings in this modern world.
I look forward to working with you in your own development as a Minister and Buddhist practitioner - as well as helping you help others to become mindful, compassionate and wise.

This site is maintained and updated by Reverend Sean Thompson (Dhammajivaka), Dr. Sean uses Buddhist mindfulness and meditation as part of his treatment regeime, as well as follows the four noble truths as applied to health (as in the original texts) Sean Thompson Chiropractic Corporation does business as Backbenders in Eagle Rock, California. We also have begun to offer herbal preparations through our limited start up, Blue Guru Herbs, also known as Blu GuRu, and Blu guru herbals. Offering Pilates classes in Eagle Rock, Yoga classes in Los Angeles, and massage therapy in los angeles, we are the biggest yoga studio in Eagle Rock. Dr. Sean has been a chiropractor in Los Angeles for the past 13 years, he has studied herbs, herbla preparations, tonics, and remedies for the past 15 years. Having seen the calue in adding herbs, yoga, pilates, massage and chiropractic into one place offers him a great opportunity to help more people in the community. Dr. Thompson taught at InterCoast Colleges in Burbank and was able to recruit massage therapists that have the best skills, great intuition, and strong hands. Each of the massage therapists 'specialize' in such techniques as tui na, shiatsu, ultra deep tissue, deep tissue, sports massage, swedish, modified swedish, and Trigger point (triggerpoint), myofascial release and even cranial work, Dr. Sean usue craniosacral therapy as well as Sacro occipital technique, diversified, flexion distraction and activator. Applications are ammended and all future applications (after June 1, 2010) must be hand written and sent via post (any electronic copies shall be considered copies, valid application is original only.) All official correspondence will be on letterhead that has been stamped by the IOBM.
There is a separation of the fee to be $50.00 non refundable for background check and $200 for ordination itself, click the application icon to the left for more.
No definate date for the next ordination. This will be determined after the Vesak Conference in Thailand.
